Stop 8 – Udaipur
Drove to Udaipur. On the way, our driver got very excited at seeing a poppy field so we stopped to take pictures. We stayed at Shiv Niwas Palace hotel part of the palace and being a guest you have special access to the palace grounds at night. James Bond’s film Octopussy was filmed at Shiv Niwas Palace hotel and in streets around the palace along with scenes from the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
We visited City Palace, Saheliyon-Ki- Bari, and Fateh Sagar Lake. We wandered through the markets and bazaars & visited the Jagdish Temple. Enjoyed a boat ride on Lake Pichola seeing Taj Lake Palace and visiting Jagmandir.
