Stop 7 – Bundi
Bundi was one of our favourite stops. It could be called the Blue City is a city of glorious past. Rudyard Kipling spent time at the fort as a guest of the Maharaja and wrote chapters for Kim and the Jungle Book. Our guide had arranged for us to be honoured guests at a scout and guide jamboree award ceremony. We visited a number of Step Wells and toured the Bundi Fort. It looks like something out of the Lord of the Rings. Within the fort were many paintings from the Bundi school of painting. Had the most entertaining and delicious masala tea at the world famous Krishna Chai.
